Ohio University – Lindley & Porter Halls

Ohio University – Lindley & Porter Halls

Named after Jacob Lindley, Ohio University’s first president, Lindley Hall was originally built as an all-women dorm in 1917. Today, after a window renovation, it holds various administrative departments, including the University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance Office, Survivor Advocacy Program Office, and Business Service Center, among others. Porter Hall was named in honor of James P. Porter, a psychology professor at the university. After its own window renovation, the Psychology, Environmental & Plant Biology, and Psychology & Social Work Clinic call Porter Hall home.
